Carrot Halwa
Carrot Halwa Recipe
Ingredients Needed:
- 1/2 kg carrot
- 1/4 cup ghee / clarified butter
- 10 cashew / kaju (chopped)
- 10 raisins
- 3 cup milk
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
How To Make:
- Peel the skin of carrot and grate finely.
- Put the ghee in a kadai and wait till it melts.
- Add the cashew and raisins in to that and sauté till it gets golden brown and transfer to another plate.
- Add some more ghee to the same kadai and add the grated carrot and sauté till the raw smell goes.
- Add the milk to the carrot and stir well
- Once it's cooked and thickened, add ½ cup of sugar to it.
- Get the sugar melted and thickened.
- Add some more ghee if required
- Add ¼ tsp cardamom powder and stir it.
- Check whether the ghee releases from sides.
- Add the ghee roasted cashews and raisins to the halwa. Mix well and Serve.
