Carrot Halwa

Carrot Halwa Recipe







Ingredients Needed:

  • 1/2 kg carrot
  • 1/4 cup ghee / clarified butter
  • 10 cashew / kaju (chopped)
  • 10 raisins
  • 3 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder


How To Make:

  • Peel the skin of carrot and grate finely.
  • Put the ghee in a kadai and wait till it melts.
  • Add the cashew and raisins in to that and sauté till it gets golden brown and transfer to another plate.
  • Add some more ghee to the same kadai and add the grated carrot and sauté till the raw smell goes.
  • Add the milk to the carrot and stir well 
  • Once it's cooked and thickened, add ½ cup of sugar to it.
  • Get the sugar melted and thickened. 
  • Add some more ghee if required
  • Add  ¼ tsp cardamom powder and stir it.
  • Check whether the ghee releases from sides.
  • Add the ghee roasted cashews and raisins to the halwa. Mix well and Serve.
